COVID Mitigation

You all should have received a memo from the Superintendent. This is just a reminder that all

air filters/purifiers should be on in the classroom throughout the day. There is a timer on them

so you do not have to remember to turn them off at the end of the day. Make sure a couple of

windows are cracked to help with circulation.

Masks are expected but not mandated. Please see the nurse for adult and student masks.

ACCESS Testing

Hi Teachers!  It's that time of the year- ACCESS testing for our multilingual learners (MLs).

Here is the linto the testing schedule.  It's subject to change depending on absences and length of testing

time for each student, however, this should give you a sense of when your kids will be taken

for testing.  Paula will be assessing K2 and 3rd grade.  Brian and Maude will be assessing

2nd grade and Kathryn will be assessing 1st grade.  Students will need their laptops fully

charged for testing.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

K0 and K1 students will be assessed in February by Marc and Paula.  A schedule for that

testing will be shared at the beginning of February.

Printer and Paper

We ordered our last shipment of paper for the year. Please be courteous and mindful of paper

usage. Remember to clean up after yourself when done with the printer and do not leave any

copies at the machines. Reminder: refrain from using the printer in room 207 after 9:30 so as

to not disturb students receiving services.

The color printer is almost out and new ink has not arrived yet.

Green New Deal and Cpatial and Planning team site visit 2-3

The design team will evaluate each school building’s ability to support its current educational

programming within the confines of the facility, as well as how well the school’s current design

supports the research informed,

ESL Screening

This is just a friendly reminder to notify Eleanor (bilingual-Spanish SLP) or Jabarah when you

have a student that you have speech or language concerns about.

They will observe/screen the student and decide if they need a full evaluation. Sometimes

they get assessment notifications for a student attending the school that was never brought to

our attention. Do not wait until the IEP meeting to bring up this concern. This should happen immediately once you have a concern and believe this the appropriate

next steps. Any questions or concerns, you can find them in room 207.

COSE Leave Extended:

Expected return date is in February. We will continue to work with our AD and I will confirm

compliance COSE. Many of you have received notifications and invites for meetings. Please

continue as planned and ensure ALL necessary documents are uploaded before the meeting

and that goals have been written out as well to discuss during the meeting.
