Opportunity

Kwame Alexander, Jason Reynolds, and Jacqueline Woodson have organized a Kidlit Rally for Black Lives. Honored that we will host it on The Brown Bookshelf's FaceBook Live. We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 4 and spread the word. People around the nation are hurting. This is a time to come together and stand up. Our kids need us, and we are here for them. (School-age kids welcome) I hope that you can join me. This seems like a good space to be in!

How do we celebrate the closing of the year in this very strange time? What are your thoughts and ideas? Please share any ideas as you have them with our entire school community. I am unsure of the best way to honor the way our students and families have risen to this occasion.
