“The best school in Boston”

“I'd like to be remembered as someone who made a difference in the lives of young people - that I nurtured

someone and taught them to pursue their dreams and their careers, to leave a legacy.”

-Andre Leon Talley

This week marks the halfway mark of the school year. One thing I am reminded of about this work is, how

difficult it truly is! However, on Friday, Ms. Casna walked into my office with a smile on her face telling me

how CJ identified patterns and shapes on ST Math and how she wished Mr. LoBue was there to witness it.

That brief interaction also reminded me of the joy in what we do as well. It is those moments we must

remember and hold on to that remind us of our WHY; Why we decide to do this work. At the end of the

day, we do not HAVE to; we CHOOSE to do so. We have the next 90 days (or so) to choose to make an

impact on the 200 students that will come through the doors, into the hallways, and into our classrooms

/offices. Every moment matters and every minute counts as an opportunity to nurture these brilliant minds!

This week, take a moment to share your WHY with someone else as a chance to inspire a colleague but to

also remind yourself. I sincerely look forward to continuing this work with you all for the next 90 days.
