Special Education/Support

SST will take place on Fridays from 11:15-12:15. First meeting will take place this Friday,

September 30th and then every two weeks thereafter. We are still looking for at least two

teachers to join the team. We understand this will be asking teachers to give up some

instructional time. The team will reconvene after the first couple of sessions to determine if

we need to adjust the meeting times.

Referral form.

Operations

Please remember to sign in and out at the office.

All staff is responsible for putting their time request in ESS.

ST Math Launch:

We will be having a special visitor during arrival Monday morning to help rally the LAPS community for

the ST MATH launch. The goal is that all of our students will be signed on at sometime throughout the day.

I know there are some concerns with lower grade levels but we hope students can get on even if it is just

for 5 minutes. We know how engaged students get when it comes to ST Math. This is a great opportunity

to discuss safe technology usage and handling of devices.

Superintendent's Circulars Sign-off (sign)

As we work together to support our students, families, and staff to recover equitably from this extremely

tough year, it is vital that each one of us actively participates in creating schools and offices that are

welcoming, affirming, and deliberately anti-racist. One part of that effort is continually preventing and

addressing bias of any kind toward students, families, teachers, administrators, or other staff, including

adhering to the district’s Equity circulars and the Bullying Prevention circular.

ELA Website

New ELA website is here! Embedded is the monthly newsletter, but you'll see some changes from last

year. For instance, many of the resources that were consistently in the newsletter have been moved to

the site, including current pacing guides and the choice board. The newsletter contains info about

upcoming professional development opportunities, so be sure to check it out! Please email me with any

requests for additions to the site.

Copier moved/ Paras Access to Printer:

Paraeducators do have access to the copier machine but not the printing function unless they are signed

in on a device that is connected to the network. In order to register your badge: tap the card on the reader,

then manually sign in using ID# number and password and then tap your card again.

The color copier machine/printer has been moved from room 207 to the teacher’s lounge and nd should

be connected to the network. There are now copier machines in the teacher’s lounge. The other copier in

the lounge is not connected to the network. I highly doubt the teacher’s lounge will be able to support

both machines, so I will put in a request to get it moved to Cafeteria B on the platform/stage. One copier

remains in room 207. Please refrain from using the copier machine in room 207 from 9:30-3:00.

We have a Secretary:

I tried to get rid of her but due to popular demand, our beloved Secretary Ms. Zoraida is back at Lee

Academy! WELCOME BACK! Version 1 for those chilling. Version 2 for those turning up

Focus for the week

Respectful in the hallway:

I keep my hands by my side and look at things with my eyes.

I hold doors for others, or I pass doors safely to the next person in line.

I stay quiet in line to respect other children’s learning time at school.
