Updates

Lexia Licenses:

We have 70 licenses that have been allocated to us. Students who do not currently have a license

will receive one upon signing in. I would like to prioritize grades 1 and 2 this week for the licenses and

then K2 and K1. 1st and 2nd grade, please ensure students who do not have a license log in as soon

as possible. K2 and K1, have students sign in at the end of the week and all remaining students

without licenses should log in next Monday.

To share with families:

Summer is Here! Register for BPS Programming NOW! (see below)

Please work with your Family Liaisons and other key staff members to support your families with their application for summer programs through the School Mint website. Please review the slide deck provided

by the extended learning team: How to Register Your Student for Summer Programs. Send any

questions to Jillian Nesgos at  jnesgos@bostonpublicschools.org or Stephanie Haynes at shaynes3@bostonpublicschools.org

Telescope Network Survey

If we can get more than 10 responses, we will be able to receive anonymized school-specific data. Last

year, we were able to receive this data. Let’s do it again! Let’s aim for 20! 10 teachers and 10 paras!

Share your voice on our Spring Survey. We want to hear about your current successes and

learning needs. Complete the survey before 4/28 to be entered in a raffle for 20 x $20 gift cards

to local independent book shops (Frugal Bookstore, Brookline Booksmith, Trident, and more). (survey link)

5/5 Staff Celebration Postponed?

We had 9 staff members who responded. Due to the low responses and the potential cost of the food

and space, it will not take place. It’s not worth the cost of the food.

Math

Week of April 10, 2023:

Not that it was expected, but I did want to mention that during the week of vacation, not a single student

signed onto ST Math. With summer/vacation approaching, I think it is important we start pushing

ST Math more as a resource that can be used at home. Students will have access to ST Math until

about mid-August when the rosters get “rolled over” or updated.
